My Story
Throughout my life, horses have been my greatest passion and source of inspiration. They are my teachers, my dearest friends, my meditation and my therapy. After working as a people sports massage therapist for many years, I decided to deepen my connection with these magnificent creatures by pursuing a qualification in Equine Body Work in 2006. This decision was prompted by my decision to care for my injured 5-year-old Trakehner mare.

I completed my Equine Body Work qualification through Equinology Inc. and furthered my expertise by obtaining an Advanced EBW Level 1 certification in 2009. My thirst for knowledge led me to explore Hoof Biomechanics and Saddle Fitting with the late Dr Kerry Ridgeway, also through Equinology. In 2013, I expanded my skills by obtaining my Level 1 Equine Unwinding Certification through April Battles Holistic Horseworks.

What fascinates me the most is the intersection of equine and human musculoskeletal systems. Over the years, I have honed the skill of palpating and mobilising the equine musculoskeletal body, using this knowledge to alleviate pain and trauma for these magnificent animals.

In May 2018, I embarked on a profound journey by attending a 3-day Equine dissection led by Sharon May Davis, a world-renowned Equine Researcher. This experience deepened my understanding of equine anatomy and physiology.
In 2015, during a year-long recovery period from my own injury, I delved into research on rehabilitation techniques for both horses and myself.

During this period, I discovered the Straightness Training Academy with Marijke de Jong. I became a Mastery Student in the academy to embark on my path toward Classical Equitation philosophy for training horses. This journey is ongoing, as I believe it is a lifelong commitment.

Additionally, I have embraced Manolo Mendez's philosophies of Integrated Bodywork through Classical Equitation-based training and rehabilitation. My dedication to continuous learning has led me to study under his program as well, enhancing my knowledge of equine rehabilitation.

With four "Rehabilitation" horses of my own, I have carefully crafted my own program for correcting posture and aiding in injury healing for these horses. I call this program Equine Postural Release Therapy, or EPRT.

My love and passion for the well-being of horses are the driving forces behind my journey. It fuels my continuous learning and enables me to educate and inspire others about the significance of horses' health, not only physically but also on a spiritual, emotional and mental level.

In conclusion, my mission can be summed up in these words: "BE GENTLE WITH YOUR HORSES." These majestic creatures deserve our utmost care and compassion and it is a privilege to dedicate my life to their well-being.
